One of the extremely rare autographed cards or Type 1 photographs from a collection of Eastern Block European athletes and a few from West Germany. The original, one-owner collection features this perfect Ulrich Wehling autograph on a 4 1/6 inch by 5 3/4 inch glossy finish B&W (black and white) RPPC (Real Photo Postcard) or PC or Post Card.  The signature is executed in thick black felt tip pen and is guaranteed to pass PSA/DNA, JSA (James Spence), and Beckett (Steve Grad).  The postcard was printed in 1976 and the autograph is period.
The very first athlete to win Gold Medals in three consecutive Winter Olympics, East German Ulrich Wehling won the Nordic Combined event in 1972 Sapporo, 1976 Innsbruck, and 1980 Lake Placid.  He also won the Nordic Combined at the 1974 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.
