Wonderful for summer cooking indoors and I even have 2 that I use outdoors (taking them in when I am done cooking), so nice to create your own outdoor kitchen that is portable. I use one for the main meal and one for veggies or
side dish
so everything is hot and ready at the same time. Highly recommend taking one on vacation if the hotel does not have a kitchen, so nice to cook your own meals when you want to, bring your most versatile pan and you are good to go. Safe and portable.
The
Benefits of Induction Cooking
.
Induction cooking
has the power to revolutionize your
cooking
experience.
Induction
technology uses magnetic currents to directly heat your pots and pans, instead of the cooktop.
Cooking
with
induction
makes mealtime easier with quicker heat, precise control, and easy cleanup.
Not all pieces of
cookware can
be used on
induction
cooktops and
stoves
. Since
induction
technology uses the power of magnetism, the
cookware
piece itself must be magnetic and have a flat bottom.
To check
if
your
pans
will work, hold a magnet next to the
pan
base;
if
it attracts, the
pan
will work on
induction.
Remember that when
cooking
with
induction
, cookware doesn't need as long to preheat and a lower heat setting is needed to maintain the temperature of food.
Chefs
love
induction cooking
because of the extremely fast heating and precise heat control provided through a high-performance glass-ceramic surface. ... It's much faster to
cook
with
induction
: you can increase or drop the temperature far more quickly, which is a more efficient use of energy.
An
induction cooktop does
not use more
electricity
and is far more energy-efficient than gas or
electric
cooktops.
With
induction cooking
, 85-90% of the heat energy generated is used for
cooking
. ... This makes
induction cooking
a
lot
more energy-efficient.
When you need an extra cooking aide or your children need one for their dorm room. Paula Deen brings to you this amazing and versatile Induction Cooking Plate. A glass plate with an 8" cooking surface delivers evenly distributed heat when cooking with induction-compatible (magnetic) pots and pans. Plus, the key pad is also glass so no more burning your hand when you punch in those digits. This versatile cooking plate works with Cook’s Companion cookware as well as the popular flip pan. With six preset and manual cooking modes - just choose the one best suited to your cooking needs - this cooking plate heats up faster than traditional cooking modes with the maximum temperature reaching 518° F! That's a lot of heat for something so small!
Induction Cooking is Safer:
Because the surface of an induction stove or cooktop doesn't get hot, you—or your curious youngster—can touch it with your fingers without getting burned. This also means that if you splatter sauce onto the cooking surface, it won't burn, making cleanup easier.
However, your pan being cooked will be very hot so proper caution must still be used. Induction cooking actually heats up faster but the glass surface remains cool.
In comparison to electric,
induction
cooks food quicker, adjust better to temperature changes, and take no time at all to cool down.
