This beautiful 2 Oz Silver coin blends Eastern and Western cultures with the representation of a famous Chinese story, Journey to the West, and Starry Night by Van Gogh. The coin has various finishes, features an incredible design and comes in a case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 333 pcs worldwide.
The reverse of the coin features characters from
one of
the most popular work in Chinese literary: Journey to the West. It tells the story of Tang Sanzhang and his three disciples, Sun Wukong
,
Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and a dragon prince, which acts as Sanzhang’s white horse, journeying towards enlightenment by the power and virtue of cooperation. The group is crossing a desert. In the background, a detail from “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh. Thus the reverse depicts a perfect blending between Eastern and Western culture and traditions. The obverse features a vintage illustration of Tang Sanzhang and the dragon prince in two forms, as the White Dragon and as White Horse.
At the bottom of the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Chad and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIQUE DU CHAD” – the country of issue, “2023” – the year of issue, “10000 FRANCS CFA” – the face value of the coin. This collectible is made possible with a new minting technique called “Bi-Metal Plus”, which combines 11.5 oz of copper embodied within two layers of 999 pure Silver totaling 2 oz, to deliver a super ultra-high relief topped with silver antiqued finishing.
