BRITISH EAST AFRICA, MOMBASA: 1888 / 1306-C/M 1 Pice ——— DIE CRACKS GALORE

Description

Super cool smaller die cracks at 3:30, 6:30, 8:30, 11:00 & 11:55 on the obverse and one big branching awesome one at 5 o'clock on the reverse. The only reason I didn't send this to PCGS for Mint Error grading is some surface corrosion which I suspect would produce an AU Details grade.
Based in the Kenyan city of Mombasa, the Imperial British East Africa Company oversaw an immense, almost quarter million square mile territory along Africa's east coast. Active between 1888 and 1893, administrative rights over the territory were thereafter transferred to the British Government.
