    Description

CLEAR VA TITLE. CAR IS LOCATED IN WINSTON-SALEM, NC.
You are bidding on one 2nd owner 1976 Mercedes Benz 240D. RARE 4 SPEED!!! Crank windows. Runs and drives great. A/C bracket and Compressor were removed to install new Water Pump and Water Pump Housing, but I have them, as well as spare tire, jack, original owners manual and original parts manual.
I am a 100% positive feedback seller for over 20 years on ebay. I expect the same level of professionalism form prospective buyers. So, before you ask......"Will it make it to Florida?" It "should," but it is a 1976 Mercedes. Please be reasonable folks. The photos should be able to do the talking as far as exterior/interior condition. A link to more photos is below. I have driven this around town at low and high speeds.

The original owner had a very high quality respray done many years ago, which was done to an incredible standard and has held up well. When I got it, it ran great, but needed some things to be road worthy.
I installed pencil-type, fast-charge glow plugs, replaced the Radiator, Water Pump, Water Pump Housing, Clutch Master Cylinder and Clutch Hose. The coolant system was properly flushed and bled. The brake and clutch systems were also properly bled. It is running just fine now :) This was a charity case for me, as I have not had one of these in quite some time, so I got it ready to pass along to someone who either wants to drive it or restore. All lighting working, wipers, horn, etc.
Items not functional: Heater core is bypassed(reason unknown). Radio not working. Front tires will need replacing as they are a little dry. I would advise against long distance highway driving until replaced, for safety reasons. Drives great around the neighborhood and all around town though. Heater fan is not working. A/C compressor and bracket required removal during waterpump replacement and were left off, as maintaining these is so much easier with it removed, but I do have all the components. The A/C did have a full charge at time of removal and could be re-installed if desired.
Body is in incredible condition. Respray has held up well and was done to a very high standard. I have only washed the paint, waxing it would make it gleam. No evidence of wrecks, etc. There is a small spot of rust at bottom of passenger front fender right behind front wheel. SEE PHOTOS. There is some small bubbling on the driver side front fender in the upper side section, but has not broken through. I will get a photo of this tomorrow. Otherwise she is VERY solid. Some minor corrosion around the E-Brake passge in driver floor.
